n SATA Hard Disk Unit
The SATA hard disk that is installed in the SATA model is designed to be used about eight hours per day for five years with small scale and
comparatively low access frequency.
Refrain from using for mission-critical tasks in which continuous 24/7/365 operation is necessary, or database in which the access is frequently
repeated, and high reliability is required.
To prevent the loss of important data, regular data backup is recommended.

Installing internal options
If internal options have been purchased separately, install them before installing an operating system.
If you use Custom Made Service, installing internal
options is not required. Just check "

When using the optional devices listed below, note the fol-
lowing instruction before installing an OS.
- Internal Data Cartridge Drive Unit
Insert a data cartridge after installing an OS.
If a data cartridge is inserted, remove it.
- Internal HDD Unit Bay Conversion kit
When an array is configured with internal hard disk units
installed in Internal HDD Unit Bay Conversion kit, delete
the array configuration. After the OS is installed, reset the
array configuration.
- Optional external devices
- When an array is configured with hard disk units in-
stalled in PRIMERGY SX35, delete the array configura-
tion. After installing an OS, configure the array again.
- When connecting an external storage system such as
ETERNUS, do not turn on the power until the OS instal-
lation completes.
