5.4.12 Display is "Noisy"

1. Display adjustment at the input source may be required. Adjust pixel tracking, phase and filter.
Noise is particularly common on YPbPr signals from a DVD player.
• Ensure the video input is terminated (75 ohms). If it is the last connection in a loop-through chain,
the video input should be terminated at the last source input only.
2. The input signal and/or signal cables carrying the input signal may be of poor quality.
3. If the distance between the input source device and the projector is greater than 25 feet, signal
amplification/conditioning may be required.
4. If the source is a VCR or off-air broadcast, detail may be set too high.

5.4.13 Random Streaks on Bottom of the Image

If a 24Hz or 25Hz HD-SDI signal or a 50Hz SDI digital PAL signal is used ensure non-cinema
processing is selected. This can be implemented via the web user interface, Channel: Page 1 menu by
disabling the Cinema checkbox. NOTE: Password-protected.
