Using the VSX 3000 System as the Monitor for a Computer

If you connect a second PTZ camera, you can use one of the system's RS-232
serial ports for camera control.
Component systems can be used with these PTZ cameras:
Polycom PowerCam
Polycom PowerCam Plus
Sony EVI-D30 (for NTSC systems) or Sony EVI-D31 (for PAL systems)
Sony EVI-D100 (for NTSC systems) or Sony EVI-D100P (for PAL systems)
ELMO PTC-100S
ELMO PTC-110R
ELMO PTC-150S
You can configure a VSX 7000e or VSX 8000 system with a Polycom
PowerCam Plus to track to the speaker's voice or to camera presets.
Points to note about voice tracking with the PowerCam Plus camera:
Voice tracking works best at distances of 15 feet (4.6 m) or less.
Voice tracking works best if you face the camera when you speak.
Leave at least one foot (0.3 m) of space above, behind, to the right, and to the
left of the camera. Echoes from nearby surfaces interfere with voice tracking.
Voice tracking works best in rooms with good acoustics.
You can use the VSX 3000 system as a high-resolution XGA display for your
computer, as shown on the system setup sheet.
To use the VSX 3000 system as the monitor for a computer:
1. Connect the VGA cable from the VGA connector on the back of the
VSX 3000 system to the VGA connector on your computer.
2. To use the system's built-in speakers for your computer's audio, connect
an audio cable from your computer to the audio input connector on the
left side of the VSX 3000 system.
