Updating the Firmware

From time to time, the firmware for the Sun IB switch might need to be updated.
This appendix provides instructions for setting up a TFTP server and using the
flashupdate command to update the firmware. It contains the following sections:
"Setting Up a TFTP Server" on page 79
"Installing Firmware Images From the TFTP Server" on page 81

Setting Up a TFTP Server

The instructions in this section assume that you are setting up a TFTP server on a
Solaris system.
To Set Up a TFTP Server
1. On the system that you intend to set up as the TFTP server, log in as superuser.
2. Use a text editor to uncomment or add the following line, if it is missing, to the
/etc/inetd.conf file:
tftp dgram udp6 wait root /usr/sbin/in.tftpd in.tftpd -s /tftpboot
