Installing PS Utility on a Macintosh

Note
If your Macintosh is running Mac OS X, installing the PS printer driver
automatically installs PS utility to the Applications folder.
1
Copy Jaws PDF Library and GGFondu from the Printer Controller CD-
ROM to System Folder/Extensions.
2
Create a new folder, and then copy the MacPDFDir, NDLPDF.ini,
JilFontList.ps, JilFontDelete.ps and Resource.ps files from the Printer
Controller CD-ROM to it.
3
Create an alias to MacPDFDir (or MacDLX) on your Macintosh
desktop.
4
Use a text editor to open the NDLPDF.ini file, and change the printer
name in the file to the name shown on the icon of the printer you are
using (e.g. Name=KONICA MINOLTA Di3510 PS).
If the copy tracking function is enabled on the machine, input the
Account Code (6 digits maximum) into the NDLPDF.ini file (e.g.
Code=123456). If the copy tracking function is disabled on the
machine, input "Code=nocode".
5
Drop the Resource.ps file onto MacPDFDir (or MacDLX) alias.
6
Turn the printer off, then on again.

Using PDF Direct Print

With PDF Direct Print, you can print a PDF file (non-encrypted PDF files
only) by dropping it onto the pdfdirect.exe shortcut (or MacPDFDir/
MacDLX alias).

Downloading PostScript Fonts

Dropping a font file onto the pdfdirect.exe shortcut (or MacPDFDir/
MacDLX alias) downloads it to the copiers HDD. Only PostScript Type1
Font files of the following format will be accepted for download.
Windows: pfb (printer font binary) and pfa (printer font ascii) fonts
Macintosh: Adobe Type1 fonts (pfb format)
