FUNCTIONS FOR TRANSMIT

D Quick split function

When you find a DX station, an important considera-
tion is how to set the split frequency.
When you push and hold
function is activated, and the undisplayed VFO is set
the same as the displayed VFO.
This shortens the time needed to start split fre-
quency operation.
Quick split operation is turned ON by default but can
be turned OFF in the set mode (p. 76).
The following is an example of setting 7.0620 MHz
for receiving and 7.0750 MHz for transmitting.
q Select VFO A.

function ON and equalize the undisplayed VFO B
frequency and operating mode with the displayed
VFO A.

D Split lock function

Accidentally releasing
changes the receive frequency. To prevent this, use
both the split lock and dial lock functions to change
the transmit frequency only. The split lock func-
tion cancels the dial lock function while pushing and
holding during split frequency operation.
RIT
The dial lock's effectiveness during split frequency
operation can be selected in the set mode for both
receive and transmit frequencies; or only the receive
frequency. (p. 76)
When the split lock function is ON, the transmit fre-
quency cannot be adjusted by rotating [DIAL] while
transmitting even if the lock function is not activated.
