Electrical Noise Troubleshooting Procedure
Step Actions and Questions

1. Check if there is other electrical equipment, such as
electrical generators, radio transmitters, or devices
using electrical motors, within ten feet of the printer.
2. Shut off the other electrical equipment, or relocate the
printer at least twenty feet away from other devices.

1. Disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Check the AC wall outlet and power cord (see

Is the AC wall outlet correctly wired and
grounded?

1. Open the Front Cover.
2. Remove the Print Cartridge.
3. Inspect both spring-loaded High Voltage contacts on
the Transport Chute Assembly and the terminals on
the Print Cartridge.
Are the terminals in good condition and
contacting properly when the cartridge is
installed?

1. Remove the Plate Handle (RRP 1.2 on

the Main Power Connector.

3. Inspect the Heater Rod securing screws and lead
wires.
Are the securing screws tight and the lead wires
in good condition?

Disconnect the HVPS (P/J26) from the Engine Logic
Board. Run 20 Test Prints (the prints will be blank).
Do the Test Prints run normally?
