When Setting Up the Printer

Condition
Cannot create
objects like print
queue on the
NetWare file
server.
Cannot be
connected to the
print server when
in remote printer
mode.
Cannot be
connected when it
is in use on the
NetWare Directory
Service (NSD).

For NetWare Environment

Verification
Did you log on as
SUPERVISOR or ADMIN at
the NetWare file server?
Is the print server activated?
Check the [Context Name]
on the [NetWare] tab of
network utility.
Solution
When setting up the network environment,
log on as SUPERVISOR (for NetWare 3.x) or
ADMIN (for NetWare 4.x or later) at the
NetWare file server.
Check that the NetWare print server is
activated on the computer used as the
NetWare file server.
Refer to NetWare related manuals for
information on activating the NetWare print
server.
Set "0=fx.C=jp" in the [Context Name]. If it is
set like "fx.jp", the country object will be
regarded as an organizational object, which
will result in no connection.
