  • Page 14 When lifting the machine, the recessed areas in the lower parts on both sides of the printer should be firmly held with both hands by two persons - one standing at the front of the machine (on the control panel side), the other at the back. Never attempt to lift the printer by holding any place other than the recessed areas.

    Switch it off, and if the interference disappears, the machine is the cause of radio interference. Perform the following procedure until the interference is corrected. Move the machine and the TV and radio away from each other. Reposition or re-orientate the machine and/or the TV and radio. Unplug the machine, TV, and radio, and replug them into outlets that operate on different circuits.

    Never touch a labeled area found on or near the fuser. You can get burnt. If a sheet of paper is wrapped around the heat roller, do not try to remove it by yourself to avoid injuries or burns. Switch off the machine immediately, and contact your FujiXerox or dealers.

    You can use the printer driver for Windows 98 on Windows Me. Obtaining the Latest Printer Driver There may be new printer drivers with future upgrades and you can download the latest version of printer driver from the Fuji Xerox home page.

    2.1 After Setting up the Printer 2.1.2 Using TCP/IP Direct Print Utility TCP/IP Direct Print Utility is a software for printing print data sent from a computer directly to a printer on the network, without going through any server. TCP/IP Direct Print Utility is available in the Software Pack CD-ROM. This manual assumes that TCP/IP Direct Print Utility will be used when printing from Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Me in TCP/IP environment.

    Insert the Software Pack CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The Fuji Xerox StartUp Tool dialog box appears automatically. If the Fuji Xerox StartUp Tool dialog box does not appear automatically, double-click the Install.exe icon in the CD-ROM. Click Install Language.

    Cleaning The printer should be cleaned about once a month to keep it in good condition. Be sure to switch off and unplug the machine before accessing the interior of the machine for cleaning. Access to a live machine's interior can cause electric shocks. Cleaning Precautions Never spray cleaning liquid directly onto the printer, as the spray could enter the printer and cause a malfunction.

    8.2 Cleaning Cleaning the Interior of the Printer After removing jammed paper or replacing the EP cartridge, check the inside of this printer before closing the top cover. Never touch a labeled area found on or near the fuser. You can get burnt. If a sheet of paper is wrapped around the heat roller, do not try to remove it by yourself to avoid injuries or burns.

    Storing the Printer When not using this printer for a long period, be sure to perform the procedure below after the last use of this printer. Procedure Turn the printer power off. Remove the power cord and all other cables, such as the interface cable. Never touch a power cord with wet hands.

When the printer is equipped with the optional cassette feeder and Duplex Module, remove them from the main unit of the printer before transportation.
