The user can confirm the state and settings of the printer, using the WWW browser of the
computer on TCP/IP or network.
This function is called "CentreWare Internet Services."
Using CentreWare Internet Services enables the user to confirm whether the printer
functions normally without actually going to see the printer, and also check the remaining
quantity of the consumables and paper loaded in the printer.
To use DocuPrint 181/211 as a network printer, an optional network expansion card is required.

This printer supplies "CentreWare Simple Status Notification" as a tool for confirming the printer state on the
computer. This tool enables the user to confirm the printer state depending on the shape of the icon displayed on the
desk top of the computer. Using this tool, the user can also activate CentreWare Internet Services. For details, refer
to "Network Print Envirenment User Guide (PDF file: net.pdf) in the "Software Pack" CD-ROM.
3.11.1 Confirming Printer State from Computer
This section explains the procedure for using CentreWare Internet Services,
giving Windows 2000 Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 as an example.
Procedure

Turn the computer power on to activate the WWW browser.
To function CentreWare Internet Services normally, the WWW browser must be Set as Default shown
below. When it is impossible to connect this printer to CentreWare Internet Services, confirm the
setting.
"Every visit to the page" or "Every time you start Internet Explorer" is set in Check for newer
versions of stored pages:.
