Loading Paper in Bypass
Tray
This section explains the procedure for loading paper in the Bypass Tray.
For the types and sizes of paper settable in the bypass tray, refer to "4.1 Usable and Unusable Paper."
Procedure

Open the bypass tray.
Do not apply too strong force to the bypass tray or put a
heavier matter than paper on the tray. Doing so results in
damage.

Match the side guide with the size scale
of the loaded paper.
Correctly adjust the side guide to the width of the loaded
paper. If the side guide is dislocated, paper are not
transferred normally, and it may result in paper jam.
To supply paper of the same size, this procedure is
not necessary.
Refer to the figure below to confirm the direction of paper.

True up four corners of paper, and
insert the paper until they slightly hits
against the insertion port, turning up
the printing side.
Do not use folded or wrinkled paper.
Do not load paper that exceed the maximum capacity.
