6.2 Printing Problems
Condition
Unable to print
when the TCP/IP
protocol is used
Unable to print
when the TCP/IP
Direct Print Utility is
used
Unable to print in the
SMB environment

Verification
Is the IP address set correctly?
(When TCP/IP protocol is used.)
Is the IP Filter set?
Double-click the printer icon and
check the Details tab on the printer
properties window. Is the spool setting
option, Spool print jobs so program
finishes faster selected? (When
Windows 95 is used.)
Is "Printer Error" shown on the status
display of the Printer window?
Is "There is not enough memory to
store file on server" shown on the
computer?
Solution
The IP address may be changed.
Check with your network administrator
and specify the correct IP address.
Check the currently specified IP address
with that shown on the Printer Settings.

Check with your network administrator
whether the IP Filter is set or not.
Click Spool Settings on the Details tab
and select Spool print jobs so program
finishes faster from the displayed dialog
box.
Refer to the Network Print Environment
User Guide if printing cannot be done via
the TCP/IP Direct Print Utility.

This message may be displayed if the
print requests are received from more
than one computer, or printing is being
done from another protocol.
Before you send a print job, check the
Printer window to make sure that no data
is being processed, then send your data
for printing.
