Critical An event that causes host system downtime, or other loss of service.
Host system operation will be affected if the disk system continues to
be used without correction of the problem. Immediate action is
required.
Serious An event that may cause, host system downtime, or other loss of
service if left uncorrected. Host system and hardware operation may
be adversely affected. The problem needs repair as soon as possible.
Major Warning An event that could escalate to a serious condition if not corrected.
Host system operation should not be affected and normal use of the
disk system can continue. Repair is needed but at a convenient time.
Minor Warning An event that will not likely escalate to a severe condition if left
uncorrected. Host system operation will not be interrupted and normal
use of the disk system can continue. The problem can be repaired at a
convenient time.
Information An event that is expected as part of the normal operation of the
hardware. No action is required.
