Differences from Remote Web Console

Some of the operations that can be performed by RAID Manager commands can be also performed
from Remote Web Console. However, there are slight differences in usable characters for nicknames
and others. This section describes the differences from Remote Web Console.

Usable characters

If using a RAID Manager command and Remote Web Console in parallel, use the characters that
can be used for both.
The following shows the characters that can be used for RAID Manager commands in the ASCII
codes:
"\" can be used on WIN32 only. "/" can be used on UNIX series (except WIN32) only.
Description
The item enclosed in this symbol is variable.
Displays as the meaning of "or" between the multiple items.
For example, -A | -B
Specifies "A" or "B".
The item enclosed in this symbol can be omitted. When some items are set
off with the vertical bar, specify one or omit all the items.
For example, [ -A ]
Specifies nothing or specifies A.
For example, [ -a | -b ]
Specifies nothing or specifies A or B.
The meaning is different by the item enclosed with this symbol.
When some items are set off with vertical bars in the curly bracket.
Specifies one item from the items enclosed in this symbol.
For example, { -A | -B |-C }
Specifies A, B, or C.
When some items are enclosed by brackets in the curly bracket.
Specifies one or more items within the items.
For example, { [ -A ][ -B ][ -C ]}
Specifies one or more items from A, B, or C.
The item that is followed by this symbol means that the multiple setting are
available.
(e.g.)-ldev_id <ldev#> ...
ldev_id<ldev#> can be specified multiple times.
