corresponding information is set in Windows TCP/IP settings). In
order for the
BDRUPD.sys
key exists under BDRUPD as follows:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BDRUPD\DHCPTags
Note: NVDDTags (options sent by the NVDD server) are also pro-
cessed by BDRUPD. These option definitions are found under the
key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BDRUPD\NVDDTags
The NVDDTags options will be handled by BDRUPD with exactly
the same process as for the DHCPTags options. You can then use
the following description for NVDDTags option settings as well as
for DHCPTags option settings.
Note that if a DHCPTag option and a NVDDTag option have the
same target, the NVDDTag will have the highest priority and will
overwrite the DHCPTag function.
Under this key, a new subkey is created for each option that
can process. The subkey name must be the decimal
BDRUPD.sys
option number. Each option subkey must contain the following
values:
Type :
REG_DWORD. Indicates the type of data transmitted
by DHCP. It can have one of the following values:
0 the source data is an IP address or list of IP addresses.
1 the source data is a string.
2 the source data is an integer.
3 the source data is a time value.
4 the target data must be set to 0 (DWORD) or
"empty string" (REG_SZ, REG_MULTI_SZ,
REG_EXPAND_SZ). The source data is ignored.
RegType : Indicates the type of the value to set in the registry. This,
combined with Type gives BDRUPD the conversion to
driver to handle new options, a registry
