parameter: 'name'. This is the name of the file after it has been trans-
ferred. If this second parameter is not specified, the file keeps its
original name after the transfer.
The
and
commands exist in several flavors: secured (prefix
put
get
s) or non secured, with resume (prefix r). "With resume" means that
the command will append the rest of the file to be transferred to the
data already transferred (if any).
To perform "resume"
the file checks the presence of a file with the same name as the file to
be transferred (the name it will have after the transfer). If such a file
exists, the receiving host sends the size of the file already present to
the transmitting host. The transmitting host then performs an
on the file to be transferred and reads the data in the file starting at
the offset that corresponds to the size of the file already present on
the receiving host. The data are sent to the receiving host and
appended to the data already existing in the file on the receiving
host.
The command descriptions in this section use the following conven-
tions:
[P] indicates that the command requires authentication using a
password.
[X] indicates that the command requires an exclusive Admin
connection. This also implies a password.
All commands are case sensitive and must be in lowercase.
