Virtualized Environments
When the drivers are completely installed in the image, that image
can be used to boot all the machines it previously supported, includ-
ing the Physical machines, and also the VMWare VMs.
Having such an image may be very convenient as you can boot it in
any VMware VM and then be able to reproduce what users experi-
mence on their machines, even if you do not have to hand any client
machine compatible with the image.
Enabling PXE Boot in Your VMs
In order for your VM to be able to boot of a Neoware Image Man-
ager virtual drive, you have to enable PXE boot. This is usually done
by modifying the BIOS setting of the guest VM:
Disabling the Embedded DHCP Server
If the network interface cards in your VMs are using NAT, we
recommend that you disable the VMWare embedded DHCP server,
for it is not easily able to set PXE data and sometimes interferes with
the actual PXE/DHCP Server.
