Problems After Initial Boot

Once your server has passed POST, you may still encounter errors, such as an
inability to load your operating system. Use Table D-7 to troubleshoot server
installation problems that occur after the initial boot.
Refer to "Software Problems" in the Servers Troubleshooting Guide for more
information.

Possible Solutions
Check the SmartStart Release Notes provided
in the SmartStart Online Reference Information
on the SmartStart CD.
Check the IDE signal cable between the
system board and CD-ROM to be sure that it is
connected properly.
Check the power supply connection between
the CD-ROM drive and the power backplane.
A rare Insufficient Memory message may
display the first time SmartStart is booted on
certain unconfigured systems. Simply cold-
boot the machine with the SmartStart CD
inserted in the CD-ROM drive to correct the
problem.
Run the System Erase Utility. Read the
Caution below. Refer to the instructions in the
Servers Troubleshooting Guide.
