Connecting the TX Matrix Plus Router to a Management Console or Auxiliary Device

Attach one or more management console or auxiliary devices to the Routing Engine ports
on each TXP-CB for management and service operations (see Figure 72 on page 161).
To connect the cables for a management console or auxiliary device:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
CAUTION: During the initial installation before the chassis is grounded,
you must connect to an approved site ESD point. See the instructions for
your site.
If necessary, turn off the power to the console or auxiliary device.
