View Window settings are reconfigured in order to ensure that specifying a measurement of an object
does not make it too big to fit on the screen or too small to see.
Note that all other objects currently on the screen also are resized by the same amount as the object
whose measurement you are specifying.
• Once you specify one measurement of an object, it is not resized further if you specify another of its
measurements.
Locking or Unlocking a Measurement of an Object
As described in "Specifying and Locking a Measurement of an Object" (page
automatically locked as soon as it is specified numerically. This section describes how to lock or unlock a
measurement without specifying a numeric value.

To lock a particular measurement
Example 1: To lock the length or slope of a line segment
1. Draw a line segment and select it.
2. Press V to display the measurement box.
3. Press l to highlight the up arrow button to the left of the measurement box and then press O.
