1. Read the Safety topic and the "Installation guidelines" on page 27.
2. Lower the cover so that the pins on the sides of the cover slide down into the slots (as shown in the
preceding figures) at the front and rear of the compute node. Before you close the cover, verify that all
components are installed and seated correctly and that you have not left loose tools or parts inside the
compute node.
3. Slide the cover forward to the closed position until the releases click into place in the cover.
4. Install the compute node into the IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis. See "Installing the compute
node in an IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis."
