v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem is
solved.
v See Chapter 7, "Parts listing for IBM Flex System p24L Compute Node," on page 79 to determine which
components are CRUs and which components are FRUs.
v If an action step is preceded by Trained service technician only, that step must be performed only by a trained
service technician.

Power Systems: IBM Flex System p24L Compute Node Installation and Service Guide
Action
Look for other serviceable events. Use the SRC indicated to determine and
fix any problems.
1. Perform a firmware update. See "Updating the firmware" on page 15.
2. If the problem persists, replace the system-board and chassis assembly,
as described in "Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly" on
page 67.
Contact your next level of support.
Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
"Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly" on page 67.
1. Log into the Advanced System Management Interface (ASMI) as the
admin user (or with the celogin user ID).
2. Click System Service Aids > Service Processor Dump.
3. Click Initiate Dump.
4. Contact your authorized service provider for instructions about how
to report the dump.
1. Power off the compute node, as described in "Turning off the compute
node" on page 11.
2. Remove the compute node from the IBM Flex System Information
Center and reinsert the compute node into the IBM Flex System
Information Center.
3. Power on the compute node, as described in "Turning on the compute
node" on page 10.
4. If the problem persists, replace the failing item that is in the failing
item list after this procedure.
Replace the failing item that precedes this isolation procedure in the
failing item list. If the failing item does not correct the problem, contact
your next level of support.
1. Find another item in the failing item list that reads "FSPxxxx" where
xxxx is a 4-digit hexadecimal number that represents the resource ID.
Record the resource ID and the model of the system.
2. Contact your next level of support to find out which failing item the
resource ID represents.
3. Replace the failing item that the resource ID represents.
