Remove the system unit cover (see Section 3, Option Installation, for cover
removal).

Locate the Password Clear jumper block on the system board (see Figure B-1).
Remove any expansion boards blocking access to the jumper.
Set a jumper on the Password Clear jumper block pins.

Reinstall the system cover.

Connect system power cables and external options.

Turn on the system. The system boots up and clears the password.
Turn off the system and unplug the system and any connected peripherals

Remove the system cover.

Remove the jumper from the Password Clear jumper block.

Reinstall any removed expansion boards.

Reinstall the system cover
Connect and power up the system and any removed peripherals.

Rerun Setup to set a new password (see Section 2, Setup and Operation).

CLEARING CMOS

Use the following procedure to clear CMOS to the factory settings.
1.
Turn off and unplug the system and any connected external options.
2.
Remove the system unit cover (see Section 3, Option Installation, for cover
removal).
3.
Locate the BIOS Recovery jumper block on the system board (see Figure B-1).
Remove any expansion boards blocking access to the jumper.
Set a jumper on the BIOS Recovery jumper block pins.
4.
CAUTION: Clearing CMOS changes the setup
configuration, including hard disk settings.
WARNING: System power must be off before
removing the cover and changing a jumper
setting.
