Installing the 3 1/2-Inch Drive into the Minitower Internal Front Slot

Install a 3 1/2-inch hard disk in the front slot of a diskless minitower system as follows.
Remove the system unit cover as previously described.

2. Follow the preinstallation instructions that come with the hard disk drive.
3. From inside the chassis, insert the drive into the bottom 3 1/2-inch hard drive slot
and connect the drive cables.
4. Align the holes in the drive with the holes in the device cage, and secure the cage
with four screws, two to a side (see Figure 3-34).
Replace the system unit cover.

Run the Setup program to set the new configuration.

Installing a 3 1/2-Inch Drive into a Minitower Rear Slot

Install a second 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive into the system as follows.
Remove the system unit cover as previously described.

2. Follow the preinstallation instructions that come with the hard disk drive, such as
setting jumpers and switches.
