Do not touch any keys once you insert the BIOS flash
diskette unless directed to do so.
5. Perform the upgrade exactly as directed by the support technician and the
onscreen prompts.
6. Power off the system as directed (usually by pressing
power button).
7. After the system powers off, remove the diskette.
8. Reboot the system and start the Setup program. Select
to reset the BIOS defaults. Use the recorded Setup selections you made at
the beginning of this procedure to set the parameters.

LANDesk Client Manager

LANDesk Client Manager (LDCM) is a software program provided with the
computer. LDCM uses the Desktop Management Interface (DMI) standard to
manage components (network interface cards, memory, software applications)
within a client (local) or remote (workstation) PC system. It provides features
for managing the resources of a local PC and can be used by system
administrators to manage groups of computer systems.
With Client Manager, the following tasks can be performed:

using the Wake-On LAN feature, get remote systems on the network up
and running from a powered-off state (for example, to perform off-hour
maintenance)
T
review system inventory of workstation hardware and software
components
T
view DMI-compliant component information
T
set security features to change password (local machine) or enable/disable
the serial ports, printer, or diskette drive (system administrator)
T
back up and restore system configuration files
T
back up system and application software using the NEC Auto Backup
utility
T
troubleshoot
T
receive notice of system events (for example, if the system is running low
on memory, you are notified of the potential problem)
