ANTENNA TUNER OPERATION

About the Antenna memory settings

This function saves antenna connector settings for
each frequency band. You can set antenna connectors
ANT1 ~ ANT4, ANT1/R ~ ANT4/R, or ANT1
ANT4 to selected bands.
L ANT1 is set to all frequency bands as the default.

The Antenna memories are set on the ANTENNA
screen.

ON or OFF.
Displayed while a different antenna
from the original is temporarily selected.
(Example: ANT 2)

Key
Selects [ANT1] ~ [ANT4].
• "" is displayed if you temporarily select an
ANT
antenna that is different from the one that is
saved in the memory.
Selects [ANT1/R] ~ [ANT4/R].
LThis key is displayed when "RX-ANT Connectors"
RX-ANT
is set to "Connect Receive Antenna" on the TYPE
SET screen.
Selects [ANT1
LThis key is displayed when "RX-ANT Connectors"
RX-I/O
is set to "Connect External RX Device" on the
TYPE SET screen.
Recalls the originally saved antenna setting in the
memory.
ANT MR
LThis key can be used when [[ANT] SW] is set to
"Auto."
Touch for 1 Saves the current antenna connector
ANT MW
second setting in the antenna memory.
Turns the Temporary memory function ON or OFF.
TEMP-M LThis function temporarily memorizes the antenna
that is manually selected.
Sets the Antenna selection mode to "Auto,"
"Manual," or "OFF."
[ANT] SW • Auto: Uses the Antenna memory.
• Manual: Selects each antenna connector
according to the saved settings.
TYPE Displays the TYPE SET screen.
TIP:
• You cannot select an antenna connecter that is turned
OFF on the TYPE SET screen by touching [ANT].
• When in the Transverter operation, you cannot use the
[ANT], [RX-ANT], and [RX-I/O] keys.

D Saving an antenna connector setting

Example: Assigning ANT2 to the 10 MHz band.
1. Open the ANTENNA screen.

2. Select the 10 MHz band.
3. Touch [ANT] and select "2 (ANT2)."
"2 " is displayed.

L You can recall the originally saved antenna setting
(Example: ANT1), touch [ANT MR].
4. Touch [ANT MW] for 1 second to save "2 (ANT2)"
to the 10 MHz band.

5. To close the ANTENNA screen after saving, push

NOTE: Before transmitting with a selected antenna,
be sure that the selected antenna suits the operating
frequency by using the antenna tuner (p. 7-3).
Otherwise the transceiver may be damaged.
