Note The CompoWay/F frames can be expressed in binary (hexadecimal) (Compo-
Way/F binary commands) or ASCII (CompoWay/F ASCII commands).
Generally, CompoWay/F binary commands are used to minimize the number
of operations. Always use CompoWay/F ASCII commands, however, when
broadcasting or executing using a Read Controller Attribute (05 03).
The format of explicit messages used for CompoWay/F commands is
explained here. For details on CompoWay/F frames, refer to the E5ZN Tem-
perature Controller Operation Manual (H113).
CompoWay/F binary commands use hexadecimal values for the Compo-
Way/F frames, and not ASCII. Therefore, the data volume is about half of
CompoWay/F ASCII commands. The following restrictions apply.
• Read Controller Attribute (05 03), which includes ASCII in the Compo-
Way/F frame, cannot be used.
• The "XX" used for the unit number when broadcasting is ASCII, and
therefore cannot be specified.
The following command and response formats are used when executing
CompoWay/F binary commands from an OMRON Master.
