Backup System Diskette Form

Review this entire form before starting the procedure to create a backup
system diskette. Display station operating procedures are described in the
Operator's Guide
for the display station to be used in customizing.
This procedure duplicates the existing system diskette. If
you do not get the
expected result in any step, start over at step 1.
If
you still do not get the
expected result, report the problem.
There are four indicators, labeled 8 4 2 1, on the 3274 control panel. The
meanings of the 8 4 2 1 indicator codes are shown in Figures 6-5 and 6-6.
If an error occurs during this procedure, the 8 4 2 1 indicator code may
help you locate the cause. Within this form, an on indicator is called a 1,
an off indicator a 0 (zero). Example: s

During customizing, only certain keys are active. Turn to Figures 6-1 and
6-2, following this form, to see which keys on your keyboard can be used
for customizing.

Feature diskette
Customized system diskette (diskette to be duplicated)
Backup system diskette (diskette to be customized)
Language diskette (if applicable)

2. Ensure that the 3274 Control Unit and.the display station have power
switched on. The display station must have a keyboard and rn.ust be
attached to port AO of the 327 4.
Note: When customizing a 3274 Model 1A, 18, 1D, 21A, 218, 21D, 31A,
or 31 D, do not set the on/off switch to the Off position unless the rotary
switch on the control panel is in the Local/Offline position and the Local/
Offline indicator is lit. The Power/Interface switch must be in the Local/
Offline position and the Local/Offline indicator must be on.
