12. Be sure that the 3274 is attached to the appropriate communication
facility.
Note: If you used a load diskette in this procedure, that load diskette
should be used for step 13. Otherwise, the system diskette should be
used.
13. Press the IM L pushbutton. During the IM L operation, errors may occur
because of improper customizing. The 8 4 2 1 indicator codes caused by
these errors are shown in Figure 4-7.
If, after the IM L operation is initiated, the )( ·):· symbol appears for
more than 1 minute with no communication reminders in the display
station's operator information area, contact your host system operator
to ensure that the 3274 Control Unit is being polled.
14. If it has not already been done, copy the configuration information from
this form onto the IBM 3274 Configuration Data Card (Configuration
Support:
A,
8, C, T), GA23-0046, supplied with the 3274 Control Unit.
Store the card, for future reference, in the pocket on the inside of the
3274 operator access door on Models 1, 21, and 31, or in the diskette
storage area on the front of the Model 51 C.
15. If a Subsystem Verification Procedure has been given to you, perform
that procedure.
16. If you have been given instructions for setting 3274 Model 31C or 51C
switches, follow those instructions.
