Check all responses that were changed, and correct any errors. Again,
move the cursor to the entry for 900, change it to a 1, and press
ENTER. If errors recur, report the problem.
11. Within 2 minutes, the 8 4 2 1 indicator code on the 3274 Control Unit
should be flashing one of the following:
1100 - Replace the feature diskette with the RPO diskette. Do not
press the JM L pushbutton. If you do press the IM L pushbutton,
go back to step 3.) After the RPO diskette is inserted, the code
will change to 0111 within 30 seconds. If additional RPO
· diskettes are required or if you inserted a diskette that is not an
RPO diskette, the indicator code will again flash 1100. Repeat
the procedure for each additional RPO diskette. At no time
should you press the IM L pushbutton. When the RPO diskette
procedure is completed, the indicator code should be flashing
1110. Reinsert the feature diskette. Do not press the /ML
pushbutton. Within 2 minutes, the 8 4 2 1 indicator code will
flash 1011 or 1101. Perform the functions indicated.
1101 - Replace the feature diskette inserted with the language diskette.
Do not press the /ML pushbutton. (If you do press the IM L
pushbutton, go back to step 3.) Within 30 seconds, the indicator
code will change to 0111 and then to flashing 1011 within 1
minute. When the indicator code is flashing 1011, replace the
language diskette with the system diskette. Do not press the /ML
pushbutton. Within. 1 minute, the 8 4 2 1 indicator code will
change to a steady 1000. Within 15 minutes, the 8 4 2 1

Note: If errors occur during this 15-minute period, a flashing
8 4 2 1 indicator code will appear. Figures 5-5 and 5-6 may help
you locate the cause.
