MAINTENANCE
The service life and operational safety of the implement can only be ensured if the
implement is properly maintained. Please observe the following instructions.
Drive chains
2
Bolts
All bolts must be checked regularly and tightened up if necessary. The pivot bolts
on seeding coulters must be retightened after the first 8 operating hours. Thereaf-
ter, they must be retightened once a year. If you do not do so, premature wear
may occur. The bolts on the connection points for attaching the implement to a
soil-working implement must be retightened regularly with a tightening torque of
300 Nm.
Disc coulters
Disc coulter and pressure roller bearings are maintenance-free. The scrapers of
double disc coulters must be checked regularly and replaced if necessary.
Plastic parts
Plastic parts must be cleaned after each sowing period. You must not use clean-
ing agents containing solvents or thinners. In addition, you must not clean or treat
plastic parts with petrol, diesel, or oil. To prevent ageing, protect the plastic parts
from UV rays as much as possible.
The drive chains (1) of the sowing shaft
and agitator shaft must be checked after
1
the first ten hours of work. Thereafter, they
must be checked once a year. Following
each sowing period, they must be cleaned
and lubricated. If the chain pretension is
too low, the drive chains can flap and the
roller ring (2) can fall out. If this occurs,
remove a link from the chain in question to
maintain the pretension.
