Only use genuine Lemken spare-parts. Spurious parts negatively influence the function of the implement, show a shorter lifetime and increase in nearly all cases additional maintenance. We trust that you will understand that LEMKEN unable to guarantee poor operation and damage caused by using spurious parts!

Page 13
5 PREPARATION OF THE SOLITAIR – CHECK LIST Before first using the Solitair the following items must be checked. • Disc Coulters and pressure rollers The links (LO) and (LU) of the disc coulters should be positioned nearly horizontally in working position.
Page 14
All other adjustments and warning functions can be used if required, see instruction book of the on-board computer LH 5000 from version Lemken 52.03 and higher. Solitair seed drills with electric motor fitted in front are equipped with the on-board...

Without support wheels it can be mounted on a Lemken power harrow Zirkon 6, 7 and 9, the Lemken compact combination Quarz 7 or a Lemken rotary cultivator Granit 7.
Page 16
7.2 Detaching from the three point linkage The seed drill Solitair must always be parked on firm and level soil. The foldable seed drills Solitair must be folded-out. • Before detaching lower down the stands (4) and secure. • Before detaching, the coulter bar (12) of the folding Solitair seed drills must be locked in folded-out position by means of the locking pin (13).
Page 17
8 MOUNTING ON AND DISMOUNTING 8.1 Mounting on a Lemken power Harrow Zirkon Before mounting the corresponding connection parts with hook (FO) and supporting plates (SP) must be fitted to the power harrow. For the connection parts additional holes must be provided in the headstock (8) of the power harrow, if not already provided.
Page 18
The hydraulic hoses of the fan drive must be connected as follows: − Connect supply hose and return pipe to a double acting spool valve. − Ensure that the oil of the return hose will flow back into the oil tank of the tractor without pressure.
Page 19
8.2 Uncoupling from the power harrow Zirkon Before uncoupling, the hopper (15) must be emptied completely and the pin adjustment (16) of the coulter pressure adjustment must be correctly secured. − Fold-out the coulter bar (12) and lock it by means of pin (13).

11 ADJUSTMENTS 11.1 Drilling depth With the two screws (20) the seeding depth is adjusted. It is important that both screws (20) are adjusted to the same amount, in order to reach an even seeding depth. The scale (SK) serves as a guide to the current seeding depth.
Page 22
11.2.2.2 Central hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment With hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment the coulter pressure will be adjusted hydraulically from the tractor seat. Therewith the coulter bar frame will be adjusted in height, so that the springs of the double disc coulters will be tensioned more or less in working...
Page 23
11.4 Seeding shaft The seeding shaft (SW) is equipped with 7 seed wheels for each dosage unit (34), with two fine seed wheels (FS), two narrow seed wheels (SS) and three wide seed wheels (BS). Between each seed wheel a separation plate (not shown) is provided. They ensure that each seed wheel works independently from each other.
Page 24
a) Switching on the seed wheels Switching on the seed wheels is done by means of screwing in the stop screw (MS). When screwing in the stop screws (MS) it must be ensured that they engage exactly in the groove (NU) of the seeding shaft axle (SA). Also the screws are within the seed wheel circumference and will not cause interference when rotating.
Page 25
11.5 Slide plates During operation all slide plates (A) must be opened fully. If necessary the seed flow from the hopper to the metering units can be stopped by means of the slide plates (A). As an option the slide plates can be operated via an electrical motor from the tractor seat if required.
Page 26
11.7 Emptying the hopper 11.7.1 Emptying flaps The hopper (15) can be emptied easily by means of opening the emptying flaps (40). The handles of the flaps can be found - seen from the rear - to the right under each dosage unit (34).

11.9 Cleaning the dosage units The dosage units (34) must be cleaned regularly, at least once a day with rape seed. Therefore the stop slides (A) must be closed, the calibration tray (41) set into position and the emptying flaps (40) opened. Remove protection covers (33) and open bottom flap shaft completely by means of the lever (HE) or (35).
Page 33
11.12 Tramline mechanism By means of the tramline mechanism (FA) either 1x2, 2x2, 2x3 or 2x4 seeding rows will be closed, when tramlines are made. Via the on-board computer LH 5000 the rhythm and bout can be adjusted. See instruction book for the on-board computer LH 5000.
Page 34
12 PARTLY WIDTH SWITCH OFF Depending on the working width of the Solitair 1 to 4 dosage units can be switched off by means of closing the slides plates (A). This can be done by hand or by means of the electric motor (EM). With the electric width switch off device, electric motors are provided above the slide plates (A).
Page 35
13 SCRAPERS The double disc coulters (55) are equipped with self-adjustable scrapers (54). They must be replaced after wear. After wear the scrapers must be replaced. Each scraper is secured by a supporting plate and a spring pin. The cover (56) prevents clods and soil penetrating the inner disc area.
Page 36
17 SENSORS For controlling the Solitair several sensors (71) are fitted. At the fan, the drive wheel, the seeding shaft and the electric motor. The sensor (71) of the tramline switch must be fitted either to the lift arm of the tractor, when the Solitair is attached to a tractor three point linkage or soil cultivation implement at the depth adjustment of the...

18 FOLDING- IN AND -OUT OF THE COULTER BAR Hook (H) is unlocked Hook (H) is locked The seed drills Solitair 9/400 K, 9/450 K and 9/600 K are equipped with hydraulically foldable coulter bars (12). Before folding-in, the locking pin (13) must be unsecured and removed.
Page 38
19 TRACK MARKERS Depending on the working width and the type of soil cultivation implement the track marker version with switch valve or change hooks are used. The track markers (45) are folded-in and -out by means of a single acting hydraulic ram.
Page 39
20 ON-BOARD COMPUTER LH 5000 All adjustments of the seed drill monitoring are adjusted, regulated and controlled by the on-board computer. Warning! If the tractor with seed drill Solitair is parked, the on-board computer must be switched off, in order to avoid discharge of the battery.
Page 40
21 FUSES AND SENSORS The on-board computer LH 5000 and the controlling of the Solitair are protected against damage by fuses and sensors. a) Up to fabrication No. 263 121 (collecting box made out of synthetic) Two different circuit boards (P) are fitted in the grey box. The circuit board (P) for the electric motor of the pre-emergence markers shows 3 additional fuses.
