Tramline control

9.2.1 General information

The tramline control enables tramlines to be created at certain distances from
each other by not seeding the rows in the track of the following tractor for spray-
ing/fertilising.
The sequence of the recurring tramline ducts depends on the working width of the
seed drill and following implements (e.g. sprayer/fertiliser).
As a rule, 2 seed wheels are switched off on both sides to create tramlines in the
required rhythm. In exceptional cases, 3 or more are switched off. The width of
tramlines depends on the track width of the tractor used for spraying or fertilising.
The tramline control mechanism is monitored and actuated by means of sensors
and a lifting magnet.
Both the sensors and the lifting magnet are fitted with LEDs. This means that you
can easily check to see if they are working properly and set correctly.
You can check the sensors by holding a metal object about 1-3 mm away from
them. If the LED does not light up, either the power supply isn't working or the
sensor is faulty. The lifting magnet sensor lights up if it is supplied with power.
For more information, see the operating instructions for the electronic seed drill
control system.
