SOWING TABLES
6.1
General information
The sowing tables contain recommendations for adjusting the bottom gates, seed
wheels, shutters, agitator shaft, and grass seed agitator. The sowing tables also
contain recommendations for the selection of the relevant seed code and the
gear. In rare cases, you may need to make settings which differ from the recom-
mendations.
For information on adjustments for the calibration test, see the operating instruc-
tions for the Solitronic electronic seed drill control system.
If the possible speed range displayed on the control terminal after the calibration
test is too high, choose gear I. If the displayed speed range is too low, choose
gear II. If you are using Conti Plus seed wheels, you may in some cases need to
use a fine seed wheel instead of a normal seed wheel, a normal seed wheel in-
stead of a fine seed wheel, or even other seed wheels entirely. A normal seed
wheel sows around 10 times as much seed per revolution as a fine seed wheel.
If the settings chosen based on the sowing table cause the calibration tray to over-
flow during calibration test sampling or if too little seed is in the calibration tray to
enable precise weighing, the calibration sampling time must be changed accord-
ingly. You must take a new calibration test sample following each change to the
settings.
CAUTION! Do not place any parts in the seed box! Otherwise, damage can occur
since the agitator shaft turns when the impulse wheel turns.
