A. Bubble Jet Cartridge
1. Outline/Structure
Four bubble jet cartridges (Black (Bk), Cyan (C), Magenta (M), and Yellow (Y)) are used on this printer.
Each of these comprise an integrated 128-nozzle head unit and ink cartridge.

Name
Function
Air ventilation plate
Provides ventilation for keeping the inside of the cartridge body at a
constant pressure.
Cartridge cover
This plastic cover is fixed to the cartridge body to prevent ink from
leaking from the cartridge.
Ink sponge
A sponge soaked with ink.
Ink filter
Filters the ink in the ink sponge.
Cartridge body
This plastic case for houses and joins the bubble jet head unit and
ink sponge.
Bubble jet head unit
Receives the ink from the ink sponge and feeds ink to the 128 bubble
jet nozzles.
