Serial Inputs

GPS NAV SRC
Multiple serial ports support GPS sources. Set to the serial port on which
your GPS source is installed.
SERIAL 1
This serial port corresponds to DB-15 pin 2 and 3. Set according to the
type of the installed GPS navigator on this port.
Most handheld GPS navigators produce output in NMEA format while
most panel-mounted navigators produce Aviation format.
A tailBeaconX can also supply GPS data. To use it as a GPS source
when BCNX GPS is selected, the tailBeaconX must share its serial
connection with a second AV-30. The second AV-30 must have SERIAL
2 set to BEACON X. See Figure 21 - Parallel tailBeaconX GPS
Connections for a diagram of the required connections and settings in
this configuration.
