Install the Ethernet Card
Verify that your PC has an Ethernet card installed. If it does not, install any
commercial variety. Make sure the Ethernet card has a unique IP address to
prevent conflicts with other hardware. Verify also that you have assigned a
subnet address. Then connect the Ethernet card to a hub. See page 3-2 for
more details.
Set the interrupt jumpers on the communication
card (IRQ5 in this example).
Set the switches on the card.

Remember to record the 1784-KTX address:
Channel 1 Address:_________________________
Insert the communication interface card into a
vacant 16-bit ISA or EISA expansion slot and
tighten the screw to secure the card.
