5000 - Combustion air and exhaust gas system
Checking air filter and air intake
Refer to generator set documentation for details on tasks to perform:
u Make sure that the air filters are in place and the connections are tight.
u Make sure that the air filters are clean and free of any clogging indication or alarm.
u Make sure that the air intake lines upstream of the engine are clean and sealed.
If the air filters are found clogged, damaged, or improperly fitted:
u Inspect the air intake lines.
u Inspect the air inlet of the exhaust gas turbochargers.
u Replace the air filters.
