5.1 Maintenance information
5.1.1 Maintenance intervals
Two limits are applicable to the period that a component can remain in service:
– Operating hours is the maximum duration in hours of service.
– Calendar interval is the maximum duration in years.
A maintenance task is carried out as soon as the first deadline is reached, hourly or calendar.
5.1.2 Time between overhaul (TBO)
The average duration until the diesel engine is overhauled.
