Diesel engine storage
Marine freight packaging
This packaging allows diesel engine transportation by road, train, or boat (C category transpor‐
tation).
We prepare the drained diesel engine by adding anti-corrosive product in the coolant and lubri‐
cating oil systems. We spray protective products on unpainted surfaces and place some desic‐
cant bags at the required spots. We then lay the diesel engine on a wooden pallet and wrap it
with protective foam (to prevent perforations) then heat-sealable aluminum foil. We vacuum
the formed cover then seal it air-tight.
We protect the whole in a wooden crate, suitable for marine transportation. This crate can be
handled from the bottom with adequate forklift trucks.
This packaging allows storage up to 24 months in an air-conditioned storehouse (B category
storage).
Multimodal freight packaging
This packaging allows diesel engine transportation by road, train, or boat (C category transpor‐
tation).
We prepare the diesel engine the same way as for the marine freight packaging.
However, the crate is designed and reinforced to allow its handling either with adequate forklift
trucks or by lifting it with slings.
This packaging allows storage up to 24 months in an air-conditioned storehouse (B category
storage).
