Actual number of exhaust elbows and exhaust gas turbochargers depends on engine configura‐
tion.
Design of exhaust manifolds depends on engine configuration.
Charge air compensator
u Inspect overall condition of the charge air compensator.
u Search for leaks, cracks, and inspect mounting.
u Record and report any defect.
If defect is detected:
u Make sure that authorized service personnel correct the defect.
Exhaust system
u Inspect overall condition of the exhaust gas system, including compensators.
u Search for leaks, cracks, and inspect mounting.
u Record and report any defect.
If defect is detected:
u Make sure that authorized service personnel correct the defect.
Coolant venting line
u Inspect the coolant venting line.
u Search for possible leaks at connections.
u Record and report any defect.
If defect is detected:
u Make sure that authorized service personnel correct the defect.
Coolant line of exhaust gas turbocharger
u Inspect the coolant line of exhaust gas turbocharger.
