WARNING

u Wear proper personal protective equipment.
Consumables and equipment
Make sure that the following consumables and equipment are available:
– The required volume of fresh approved lubricating oil
– A suitable drainage container
Draining off engine oil from the main drain-off point (standard
draining)

Oil drain on oil pan
On the main drain-off point:
u Place a container to collect the used oil.
u Unscrew and remove the plug or open the valve.
u Let the oil flow into the container.
u Wait until no more oil drips.
u Clean the drain hole, plug, or valve and the surrounding area with a clean rag.
u Refit the plug or close the valve.
If oil pan is closed with a plug:
u Tighten the plug according to standard torque.
u Remove the container and dispose of used oil according to local regulations.
Filling engine oil
Make sure that the following preconditions are met:
q Engine oil is drained.
q Spin-on oil filters are replaced.
q Draining plugs and valves are closed.
