Backup Insp. Time (Backup Inspiratory Time)

The Backup Inspiratory Time setting defines the length of each inspiration delivered during
ventilator-triggered backup ventilation, initiated by the set Backup Rate.
The combination of the Backup Inspiratory Time and Backup Rate setting is limited by the
I:E ratio range, 2:1 to 1:99.

Sigh Parameters

With the Sigh function, the ventilator will periodically deliver extended breaths with an
increased % of the set pressure or volume.
NOTE
During the sigh breath, the high pressure alarm will automatically be raised (but not
higher than the alarm max setting):

The Sigh rate sets the frequency of which breaths with an increased pres-
sure or volume are delivered to the patient.
If the High Pressure alarm or the High Tidal Volume alarm is given, the
Sigh function will be disabled as long as the alarm condition remains.
