3.7 BRAKING UNIT
The braking unit external of the drive, makes it possible to dissipate 500 W continuously with an
overload of up to 1.4 KW for 10 seconds. This makes it possible to use the equipment in passive
mode.
The new braking unit external of the drive makes it possible to dissipate 750 W continuously with
double overload for 10 seconds. This makes it possible to use the equipment in passive mode.
3.8 BELT MOTOR
The belt motor is a sinusoidal brushless surface magnet motor.
The brushless motor has an encoder that detects the belt speed and transmits it to the STIWI drive.
DANGER: there is high voltage on the belt motor and it's not grounded. Do not touch
the motor when it's under voltage.
