This section introduces using the internal web page to operate the PowerCage 411,
including:

The PowerCage can be configured through its LAN port, connected via a LAN or WAN,
using a web browser such as the Microsoft
installed internal web pages, which are always available and cannot be erased or
overwritten.
NOTE: If the Ethernet connection to the PowerCage is unstable, try turning off the

Connect the PowerCage 411 to a LAN or WAN using the rear panel RJ-45 LAN port or
the front panel USB mini Type-B port.
Open a web browser on a PC connected on the same LAN or WAN.

Enter the IP address of the device in the browser Address field.
NOTES:
If the local system administrators have not changed the value, the factory

specified default is 192.168.254.254.
The default IP address for the USB connection is 203.0.113.22 (this IP
•
address cannot be changed).
Press the <Enter> key on the keyboard.
The PowerCage 411 is password protected. Enter user or admin in the Username field.
Enter the password in the Password field when prompted.
NOTE: The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this enclosure have
been set to the enclosure serial number. In the event of a complete system reset,
the passwords convert to the default, which is extron (see
page 58 to change a password).
