Removing and Attaching the Protection Cover

Inverters of 18.5 kW or less have protection covers on the top and bottom as shown in Fig 1.3 and Fig 1.4
Always remove the protection covers before installing an Inverter of 18.5 kW or less in a panel. Use the
following procedure to remove and attach a protection cover.

Removing the Protection Cover

Top Protection Cover
Insert the tip of the straightedge screwdriver in the slot. Then, lift the cover up in the direction shown by the
arrow to remove it.

Bottom Protection Cover
1. Remove the terminal cover as described on Page 1-18.
2. Loosen the two screws, and remove the protection cover.
3. Return the screws to their original position and tighten (them).
4. Reattach the terminal cover as described on Page 1-18.
