Fuel Supply System - Edition 10.2018
– Press the floor covering to the side and disconnect the con‐
nector -1-.
– Remove nuts -arrows-.
Installing
• Tightening specification. Refer to
⇒ "1.1 Overview - Fuel Tank with Attachments", page 5
Assemble in reverse order of disassembling. Note the following:
– Install the sill panel strip. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr.
70 .
– Install the right seat cushion in the second row. Refer to ⇒
Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 72 .

♦ Fuel Injection Gauge Kit - VAG1318-
♦ Fuel Injection Gauge Kit - CO Adapter - VAG1318/11-
♦ Fuel Injection Gauge Kit - Adapter Set - VAG1318/17A-
♦ Fuel Injection Gauge Kit - Adapter 23 - VAG1318/23-
♦ Injection Rate Comparison Meter Kit - Remote Cable -
VAG1348/3A- with Injection Rate Kit - Remote Cable -
VAG1348/3-3-
♦ Connector Test Set - VAG1594C-
♦ Measuring container, fuel-resistant
Procedure
• Fuse for Fuel Pump Control Module - J538- OK . Refer to the
Wiring Diagrams.
• Battery voltage at least 12.5 V.
• Fuel Pump Control Module - J538- OK; check in
-Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- .
Fault Finding
• Fuel filter is OK.
•
Fuel tank minimum
• The ignition is off.
Note
The Fuel Pump Control Module - J538- is located on the right side
under the rear seat bench, directly under the floor covering.
– Remove the right seat cushion in the second row. Refer to ⇒
Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 72 .
