Job Priorities
As seen above, a Job triggered in the UI can have three different levels of priority, which the AMS translates
into a "Latest Pickup Time" for every Job.
low = Latest Pickup Time (60 min)
medium = Latest Pickup Time (30 min)
high = Latest Pickup Time is set to 5 min from now.
This is necessary in order to align manually-triggered Jobs with Jobs created through the external interface.
This may result in a Job with low priority that was scheduled in the past being executed earlier than a
recently added Job with high priority. This is an intended behavior to make sure no Job stays in the scheduler
for too long without being executed.
Notice
Please be aware that the system cannot guarantee that a Job is started before the Latest Pickup
Time, since this is a question of fleet dimension and utilization.
It will rather fulfill all Jobs scheduled in the order given according to the respective Latest Pickup
Time.
