8 DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
Spent products should be taken out of service in an environmentally correct manner.
When discarding used equipment a great deal of material and the energy content of the material can,
after sorting and cleaning, be recycled. The degree of material that can be recycled varies depending on
the technical resources and experience available in respective countries.
Non-recyclable components, such as oil and battery, shall be left at an approved recycling centre for de-
struction or disposal.
