Stress Tests: Ergometers with Remote Start Pulse
Proceed as follows to use the Master's Step Test with the MAC 1200 ST.
1. Press
Ergo
to select the Stress Test mode.

2. Check the configured Ergometer type in the configuration menu
under Chapter 10,
Master's Step Test.
3. Check the configured Protocol in Chapter 10,
section. It must be set to SINGLE, DOUBLE or TRIPLE.
4. Check the user-configured settings in the Stress Test configuration.
5. Check the correct connection of the Master's step device to the RS232
interface of the MAC 1200 ST.

These settings need to be verified only once. They will be saved and
are automatically available for further tests. The name of the test
protocol is also annotated on the data acquisition screen.
1. Enter the patient information. (See Chapter 4,
Data"
section for details.)
For the test the data fields Date of birth, Gender and Weight must be
filled out. Otherwise the device will set the number of steps to the
minimum value.
2. Apply the electrodes to the patient. If all electrodes are OK, press the
key.
3. The MAC 1200 ST prints a 12 Lead report. After 30 seconds the
device prints a median report with the first ST measurement results.
4. Remove the electrodes for the exercise phase. Ask the patient to
stand in front of the stair to start exercising.
5. Press
. The Master's step device now activates the LEDs on the
stairs on which the patient is expected to step. The duration of the
exercise phase is 90 seconds (SINGLE test).
